We were asked to work on the concept, and filming of a TV commercial pitch for the Halifax bank.
Most pitches and blueprints for TV commercials are created with image mood boards, or flip chart presentations. Instead we filmed a video pitch, in the style of a ‘fly on the wall’ documentary to add a level of interest, engagement, and authenticity. We filmed a live choir rehearsal at Angel Studios London, with the advertising agency creatives discussing the concept of the TV commercial idea. We decided to use no second takes for the interview sections, shooting as live, and overlaying it with live recordings of the choir performances.
